Can I use multiple eye drops?
DON’T DOUBLE UP ON DROPS – there is no need to put more than one drop in your eye.
One drop is more than can fit into your eye, so a second drop will just run down your cheek.
SPACE OUT YOUR DROPS – when you are taking multiple drops, wait 5-10 minutes between each medication..
How often can I use eye drops?
If you use eye drops with preservatives, you should apply no more than four doses in one day. If your dry eye is severe, you might need more than four doses per day.
Should you blink after eye drops?
Once the drop is on the eye, do not blink your eye or move it around to spread the drop. Instead, gently close your eyes just once, place the pad of your most sensitive finger at the inside corner of the eyelid by the nose and press gently. Leave the eyelids closed and the finger pressing gently for 2 full minutes.
Is it OK to use eye drops after 28 days?
Eye drops usually expire about one to two years after the manufacturing date. However, once your eye drops are opened, you should throw them away after three months of use, as there is a greater risk of contamination. You should never use eye drops after their expiration date, or after three months of use.
What happens if you put too much eye drops?
Some people significantly overuse artificial tears eye drops, causing them to wash away their natural tears. Prolonged use and/or overuse can cause a dependency on the drops to soothe and moisturize the eyes, as well as protect delicate eye layers. Use OTC eye drops only as directed by the packaging or your doctor.
Can I use eye drops after 1 month opening?
